March at the Valley Gardens.

Today we decided as it was a reasonable day that we’d take the kids to the Valley Gardens, so we parked right by the house i was born in and here’s what we saw :-)

Walking towards the punch bowl…

one of the magnolia flowers….

the Summer house in the valley gardens..

Looking towards the car park…

Another towards the car park…

some of the magnolia trees…

one of the rhodies…

White pieris, i did love this…

Rhodies and a magnolia…

My two enjoying the veiw…

they ran down this hill to meet us then found out we were going back up it…. should have seen their faces :-))

looking towards the punch bowl, i couldn’t get over how blue the sky was…

Moss on a branch i passed…

signs of life in the Gunnera Manicata

looking through the beeches towards the lake…

had to take this the sun on the two silver birches was lovely…

some conifers for Severnside :-)

just liked the dead tree how it stood out…

this shrub was dripping with these red berries, when the sun hit them they lit up the whole shrub…

Had to take this, it was going through a rhodie walkway and i had to have it, drove my kids mad it took me a while to snap…

Lysichiton camtschatcense or skunk cabbage….

on our way back to the car, weather has been sunny, cloudy, hailstones and rain…. almost the jackpot…

just liked the sky contrast against the foreground….

mahonia’s among the rhodies, fresh colours…

one last look back from where we came from…

Another conifer for Severnside…

some lovely heather in the heather garden…

well that was our day out at the valley gardens, we all hope you enjoyed our walk… Thanks for looking….

What a fabulous place, beautiful photos! Your girls are lovely.
I was at Cliveden, Buckinghamshire, we didn't have such lovely blue skies as you.

Hi, Surreylad, where are these valley gardens, please? One can feel some attachment you have to this place, all those photos are very nice. Most of all I like cedar trees and that forest-church is amazing. I am really impressed that you already have rhododendrons blooming, as their season starts here in a month or two.
Thank you for his nice trip SL. You have charming two little roses :)
