Amy, I think they would actually prefer the bubbly to the Orchids. Same friends, to whom (the wife) I gave the white Gaura, after I had taken some cuttings. Just in case she killed it, that's my excuse.

Thank you, fellow gardeners. I am excused then, but don't tell them! Believe me I really was going to give the Phalaenopsis to them, because our bungalow does not remain at a constant temperature when we are away in the winter and the temperature is too cold in the conservatory.

The orchids are beautiful and how well they have done in your care. Wise decision to keep them!!
