Heritage Collection Onion Rouge Long De Florence produces dual purpose bulbs - pull young as spring onions or allow to form mature bulbs. The bulbs are of a mild and sweet flavour and are ideal sliced for salads and stir-fries also pickling.

Cropping: 70 days as Spring Onion 125 days as full bulb

Sowing:
Sow March to August for spring onions March to April as a bulb onion.

Sow seed liberally in broad drills for pulling as spring/bunching onions 12mm deep in drills 30cm apart. If sowing for mature bulbs sow thinly.

Growing:
No need to thin seedlings for spring onions. For mature bulbs thin to 7cm (3).

Aftercare:
Keep well watered.
