Enjoy all summer long as salad leaves and full heart crops this mix is particularly resistant to bolting (the premature flowering of vegetables / leafy herbs often a result of draught starvation or high temperatures).

Easy to grow preferring a moist well-drained soil in full sun.
Slow to bolt and with good standing qualities this will supply endless loose-leaf lettuce in striking red shades.

Sow March to August and harvest between June and October.

Sowing instruction:
Sow thinly.
1cm deep drills (a shallow trench in which seeds are planted) about 30cm apart in soil which has been raked to a fine tilth (tilth is the physical condition of the soil. Soil that drains and absorbs water well and is easy to work with would be described as good tilth).
Water ground regularly especially during dry periods.

Growing instructions:
When large enough to handle thin out seedlings to 30cm apart if full sized hearts are required or 7.5cm apart for salad leaves.
Harvest as and when required.
