The Garden Yogurt Activator is a simple to use 'incubator' for EM's - Effective Micro-Organisms which can then be watered into your garden as a soil improver. EM's are a mixed microbial culture of selected species of micro-organisms. All of these are natural non-gm and mutually compatible with one another and co-exist in liquid culture. By adding a sugar source (molasses) and culturing the micro-organisms this ensures that the microbes are active. This is then Garden Yoghurt which is a full strength culture of EM that can then be diluted and applied as a tonic to weak or tired soil. Some of the microorganisms in EM are known to produce bioactive substances such as vitamins hormones enzymes antioxidants and antibiotics that can directly or indirectly enhance plant growth and protection. The garden yoghurt maker is a themostatically controlled fermenter that will produce 1 litre of EM-A in 7 days.
The Garden Yoghurt Maker kit comprises: The Activator (enough to treat 500 sq.m); Effective Micro-organisms (EM) in an inert liquid form (250ml); A natural liquid activating agent - A+ (250ml); Instructions.
Replacement EM are available on code DD2556D and replacement A+ on DD2557D. Please not that the yoghurt is not for human consumption!
