messy garden

Well after being ill for 2 weeks and now feeling a lot better decided today to sort out my little greenhouse, planted some tomatoes, hollyhocks, delphiniums and Cosmos ‘Picotee’, just hope Rocky leaves it alone!!!

The garden is still a mess really needs a good going over, the borders are awful after that winter and some shrubs need branches cutting off, still feeling a bit weak so will have to buckle down soon and tidy it up.

As you can see there are signs of spring in a messy tub lol!! why is it weeds survive so well in winter?
The Mahonia is in flower brightening up a dull corner, i love this one its such a nice shape and lovely bright yellow flowers.

I noticed that the Rosemary that has taken quite a battering has flower buds on it, was going to cut it back shall i or shan’t i?

And finally the catkins on the corkscrew hazel are getting longer a sure sign its warming up! come on Spring!!!!

Pleased you have perked up Sk, your garden is certainly showing good signs of whats to come, a boost in itself. Managed a few days tidying up and made a start in my greenhouse, raining today so back indoors, easy stages is the way to go at the moment......
