This is how the garden looked last September when we moved in

Lancashire, United Kingdom Gb

This is how the garden was 6 years ago not how it is now not sure what i did to the "now " pictures !! I think they are now underneath these!!
This is how the garden looked last September when we moved in , it took months to clear the brambles etc we were cut to shreds!!.
It is a L shape and divided by a concrete path ( which i hate but too thick to do anything with!! any suggestions?).
This is the only side that has any shape etc to it.
The other side has a shed( again i hate it should i hide it with trellis or something?)and has a Fatsia with only leaves at the very top a tall bamboo and a Mahonia which is planted into the bamboo somehow ! Any suggestions?

Oh lord, well, a landmine springs to mind immediately... This garden is derelict. Can I just say though, that the bamboo has spread into the Mahonia rather than the other way around, which indicates that the bamboo is not restricted at the root - this is a big problem, because it will have spread far and wide and will continue to do so. It's impossible to say from the pictures what you should do, other than clear all the rubble and rubbish lying about, hack back any ivies, digging out roots as you go, get rid of weeds and generally cut things down to see what's really there. Then decide what you want and what you don't, and how you want the area to be used and what you want it to look like.

Hahaha Bamboo that made me laugh!!
The garden WAS derelict but we have been hacking away at it for months!!
Can i move the Mahonia away from the Bamboo ?
In that bed ( other side of the garden) there are only the 3 plants, bamboo, Mahonia & Fatsia , really not sure what to do there!

Is there a shot somewhere of the Mahonia, Fatsia and bamboo bed as it is now?

id buy a few nice fence pannels if your shed is at the end . put one right in front of the shed and the others comming from the other side but in front of the shed bye about 18" . let this pannel or pannels overlap the one in front of the shed and at a glance especialy with some choice planting it will just look like the end of your garden with a shed next door .

as for the boring path id look for some thin plastic thats long and not to short . bend this and peg it out either side of your ugly path and an inch higher . then just mix up some cement and fill up to the sides of the curves losing the boring path and making the new one much more interesting and losing the old one . wet the old path before you do this so the new stuff bonds to it or pva it . while its wet you could get some nice gravel and tamp it gently into the new path .

I don't know what you're taking the pictures with, but they all have a bleached, dusty appearance.
Both the fatsia and the mahonia in the picture are leaning to the left - what's above them? Is there a tree or something directly behind which shades the area a lot?

The bamboo is an issue, it needs to be dug out completely, and that might mean sacrificing the fatsia because the roots are intertwined. It may also mean removing the log roll support to extract all the rhizomes of the bamboo. If you don't do it thoroughly, it'll just regrow and cause more problems again. You can replant the bamboo (put the main part in a large pot and keep it watered till you're ready to replant) later, and dispose of some of it as you dig it up. When you do replant it, it needs a root rhizome barrier inserted vertically into the ground to surround it completely to stop it going further than you want it to.
As for the shrub in the final picture, hard to say - from this distance, and given the 'dustiness' of the picture, it looks like a variety of Aucuba, but appears to have white marbled variegation rather than the usual yellow and green. A closer, better shot might make ID easier.
Whoever owned this garden previously has spent a fair bit of money on some nice plants...

Many thanks will try and take some better pictures!the house belonged to my in laws but it was me that bought the plants originally and yes i spent a lot of money on it, i have just found some pictures of how it one looked i nearly cried!!.
The garden has not been touched in 6 years unfortunately as my father in law died then my mother in law got Alzheimers and would not let anyone in the garden!!
Can the bamboo be dug up now?
Thank you so much for your time and help

The top pictures are how the garden was in 2005 bit of a difference!!

Yes, tackle the bamboo as quickly as you can - try to save some if you can, but if you can't, you can't. Dig around the outside of it as well, you'll probably find runners from it under the soil - dig as far as you need to expose everything, don't leave any in at all.
When you post your next photos, might be better to post a different question with them - replacing them all the time on this thread means we can no longer see the earlier pictures if we need to.
Those pics show the garden looking great...
