Resin query

I wonder if anyone can advise me - I built this little wall on Sunday, and at the left of the photo you can just about see a dragon - which is made of resin - that I set in the wall using the same mortar as I used for the bricks.
My partner says he doesn't think mortar will hold resin. Does anyone know what kind of adhesive I could use if the dragon doesn't hold?

I think some of these no-more-nails type of adhesives stick most things - should say on the tube.

My husband thinks an epoxy based adhesive should do the trick, or as Wagger says no more nails would also do the trick
