I tried a softwood cutting last July. You cut off the new growth then put it in sandy-compost in a protected area of the garden (north facing is best) Mine has started to root.

Don't think they do terribly well from cuttings and therefore most of them are grafted.
However, as ive never taken cuttings from them before, i stand to be corrected !!!
