I am looking for an Acer that will withstand a windy garden.

i recentley saw an Acer on Gardeners World that was new and would survive windy conditions but I didn't catch the name.

Have you tried looking on the gardener's world pages on the BBC website? I've alway understood details of plants featured can be found there.
