What is this called. I was really shocked with it. I bought it two years ago. They said it was an annual but it has not died. I live in Pennsylvania and we have cold winters.

looks like a phormium but I could be wrong. They are perennials usually unless they get very cold/frozen.

My first thought was a cordyline, though I've never heard of one that could take a Pennsylvania winter. Maybe right on the coast?
