Without a picture I cannot be sure. New strawberry plants come on the end of 'runners' growing from the original plant, they look like a bunch of leaves with little roots starting to show. Put them in a pot (or in the ground) while still attached to the parent plant. When they are growing nicely it is time to cut the 'runner' and then wait for your next lot of strawberries.
