Well, I've always preferred to use a 3-1-2 proportioned formula--i.e. 24-8-16, 15-5-10, etc. Normally, close is good enough.

It looks like a rubber plant - Ficus elastica.
I've never grown one so I don't know what to feed it with, but I should think something like Phostrogen would be all right.
