Could you check on the name again? There isn't a plant called Herbert. Have you a photo?

If it is a bulb, you could mean Herbertia.

As Steragram says, there's no such plant. Do you mean Herb Robert (wild geranium)?

What does it look like? Herbertias are very small and blue flowered, Herb Robert taller but still under a foot and have light green leaves and very small dainty pink flowers.
The first are not hardy in the UK, the second seed around easily.
