Hello. Can anyone name this moth, I took the pic in Glencoe Scotland :o)) Plus does anyone know the yellow flowered weed it is sitting on?

I think it might be a Brown-line Bright-eye.

Looks like it is sitting on Ragwort, Senecio jacobaea.

Thanks for the name of the Ragwort, Senecio jacobaea Ladgirl :o)), I looked it up, such a shame it is a nasty weed as it is so pretty.

Nasty - well its the food plant of the pretty red cinnabar moth so it has its uses. Its poisonous to livestock but apart from that just enjoy its brightness. Best to wear gloves if you pull any up. A weed is only a plant growing where you don't want it. Foxgloves, violets and campion are weeds in our garden.
