i have a allotment and this year I am growing flower sprout but I think I started them off to early as they are over a metre high and are pushing against the top of the large netted clotche I erected if I cut the tops off will this stop the plant from producing florets

no this is not sprouting broccoli. it is a new vegetable called flower sprout and it is a cross between brussel and kale

Looking at images of them flower sprouts seem to grow very similarly to Brussels sprouts, that being the case cutting off the leader will mean you get less sprouts.
