I have had some plug plants of dianthus delivered, devonshire cream and grannies favourite. will they be ok to plant out now or shall i wait until spring?

Plant out now in your flower beds. Do not overfeed. Put a little sharp sand or grit around each one. They are hardy but may have been raised in a greenhouse.

or if you are worried pot them into a reasonable sized pot and put in a cold frame/cold greenhouse for the winter.
but if you are planting out drbob is spot on. are you expecting decent weather tomorrow? lucky thing.
