Don't fret - another seedling might appear somewhere.

Ive just checked and its groeing between the bricks of the drain and the pat, I havent pulled the whole root out thank goodness.

If it is growing between bricks ,beware they can get very strong and possibly do some damage as time goes by.Especially if it is near drains.
