Sedum telephium 'Purple Emperor'

Sedum telephium 'Purple Emperor' (Sedum telephium (Sedum))

This has grown so well from a cutting gifted by Pansypotter in 2014.

We share a love of these Sedums Shirley. The ones you sent me..S. Matrona and Frosty Morn are doing beautifully. I have a nice collection now and never get bored of them. They are so easy and rewarding. :)

I think it was S. 'Autumn Charm' I sent you. Originally a cutting from Scottish. It has been divided many times and now is planted in many areas of my garden!

Oh yes, well that one is doing even better than Frosty Morn! :)

Thanks Dotty ... surprisingly it needs no staking ... tough variety!

That's fabulous. I was the lucky recipient of a rooted cutting from Bloomer a couple of years ago, but it doesn't seem to have increased in size very much. I hope it gets like yours eventually.

Waddy, this began as a cutting from Pansypotter in 2013 and just keeps on growing!

There's hope for mine yet then :-)

Definitely! Today we mowed and edged the grass and I had to put short canes in front of this Sedum to stop OH mowing over it. I then used my half moon cutter to tidy up all the lawn edges ... back is aching now ... :o(

I have sadly neglected my garden this year...for obvious reasons. Hopefully I'll get back into things this Bank Holiday, if the weather is kind. I hope your back is feeling better.

Waddy, I'm sure your garden will be looking good before too long ... we have heavy rain today. My back is fine now ... thanks for asking.

Rain here today too...maybe tomorrow..

Gawjus as Christine used to say, this is a lovely colour and the sedums all look good in the rain.

Phyl, I remember Christina's spelling ... hilarious at times but we all knew what she meant!
