Serbian Spruce and it's anonymous friend

Serbian Spruce and it's anonymous friend (Picea omorika (Serbian spruce))

Bought both these plants at a local shop in a Hungarian village. The one without a name looks a bit like a variegated hebe. The leaf edges are yellow rather than creamy white.

I wonder if the anonymous one is a Euonymus, Chrispook? It looks rather like the ones I have in my garden.

No the lady at the garden centre said it was not Euonymus, that was my first thought. She said a name in Hungarian that was something to do with goats, that was all we could understand. After Internet research I think it is a Hebe "Golden Katrina". That's my current thought Gee19.

how do they survive when ice surrounds ?

All the plants in my garden have to be hardy enough for a cold continental winter Junna. Less hardy ones we have to grow as annuals unless I can overwinter them indoors.
