Paeonia mascula (Paeonia mascula (Balkan Peony))

or if you prefer common names: Male or Balkan Peony.
Very strange seedhead have to admit. Found it few years ago in Geffrye Museum in East London. Have got few more pics so will try to post them soon.

Kasy your welcome,i agree will never know it all this is a good site to learn I find because Goyers have such diverse interests.My main love for years was Primulas and Alpines but associating with just like minded people you stay in a bubble.
