Errrr.....maybe! I have a feeling that the B&W will not have a lot of anything after last year...so many Nurseries pulled out. My local one says they won't be there. :-((

Thanks, Flori!

so pretty

Thanks - I was delighted that cutting them back had the desired effect. I'm hoping for more flowers on the scarlet Lychnis now. :-)

That is one of the reasons I stopped going to the Bath and West at Shepton Mallet, it was getting more and more expensive on the door, and less Nurseries were attending because the pitches became so expensive to hire. I get better value for my money by going to Malvern now, and it provides a nicer day out,
'specially if you get to meet up with other Goyers attending too...lol! :~))

I'm giving it one more try, they've reduced the entrance this year too. I'm hoping they will have learned from last year.

We use to go every year there every year, Grindle, as relatively local to us, but from what use to be a wonderful Garden show really ended up as a bit of a travesty, so about two years ago, we stopped attending~I hope it has improved and you have a good day out there....can you let me know how you get on if you go? I would be interested if they have improved.....

That's worth knowing, G. I'll look at the website and see which Nurseries 'will' be there before I decide. Such a shame when 'Amateur Gardening' cut the link - or was it the other way round?

Love this one.

It's a more delicate shade than some, Carol...and a real bonus to flower again!

14 Aug, 2010

will do Flori :-)

Are you definitely going, Grindle? I can't decide after last year. If it's as bad, I shall feel cheated.

15 Aug, 2010

yes I will be going B, gives me a day out no matter what it's like

Hi Spritz, loved this colour and wouldve purchased seed but wanted pink, white and dusky salmon and cant get them all the same place. Postage would be horrendous too!
So sometime if you have to split, can I cadge some pink, and maybe sometime Grindle will let me cadge some dusky salmon. Anyone got the Chalc. Alba?

17 Sep, 2010

I'll try to get some seeds for yiu, if possible. No promises, though! I can't split them this year - the plants are very small still. Sorry for that. ;-((

17 Sep, 2010

Dont worry Spritz, after I posted, it did enter my muddled brain that they were fairly new so realized your plants were babies yet. I read somewhere they may not come true from flower seed, but if you did manage it (dont break a leg I know you must be busy) I would give it a go.

17 Sep, 2010

I'll take a look...you never know, do you? I suspect that the seeds won't be ripe yet, though.

18 Sep, 2010

I'm afraid my plant is still too small as well, and I've cut the seed heads off already (sorry)

19 Sep, 2010

I only cut the first flowers off, and they flowered again, so there 'should' be seeds, shouldn't there?

19 Sep, 2010

I would think so B :-))
