This is an absolutely delicious fruit. I can eat a pound of these during the season. They grow very well here...even better than Lychee...which has been growing here for over 110 years.
The fruit supposedly looks like a dragon's eye.

My friend who has a tree brings me bags of Longan in the Summer. We eat many pounds of this fruit during the season. My friend also brings me many pounds of Lychee also. It is the best!!!
