Hi BA!
It's hardy when it gets older. Mine is still a baby so I should dig it up and keep it indoors in winter :p

Aren't they the oldest plant ancestors or something? I read a book by Oliver Sachs called the Island Of The Colour Blind, which was partly about neurological problems brought about by eating the seeds I think. Fascinating:-)

You are right BA, it's an ancient plant. The book sounds interesting :)

What else?

See who else is growing Cycas revoluta (Japanese Fern Palm).

See who else has plants in genus Cycas.

This photo is of "Sotetsu (Japanese Fern Palm / Cycas revoluta)" in Tommymoo's garden
