I looked this up and it came up as evergreen tree, do you grow it as a tree or shrub Andrew? I would like this if its a tall shrub?

only seen hookerianum before, but I like this one better :-)

Doreen - it's a very large shrub that masquerades as a small tree! Can get to 25 feet but I had the top taken out a couple of years ago so it's about half that now. If you're going to grow it, allow plenty of room as it can get up to 15 feet across as well
Grindle - the flowers are smaller than C.hookerianum and don't really show up until you are close to it. I think it's the slightly hardier of the two as this survived the winter but my C.hookerianum didn't

Thanks Andrew although I want a tall shrub this sounds too big.

that's a shame, would be nice if they were bigger flowers ;-)
