Hardy Begonia

Hardy Begonia (Begonia grandis evansiana (Begonia))

Begonia grandis evansiana is so slow to come into leaf that each year I fear I have lost it. I have had the original for over 15 years.

The bit you sent me is doing great !, I won't risk it in the garden this year though :-)

So pleased. When you put it in the garden label it's position well, it is so very slow to restart growing each year. Also I put a cover of dry chips over it in the winter, as I do with my Alstroemerias. A position with shade seems ideal. It does well as a seasonal pot plant.
