Tulip 'Flaming Parrot' - May 2009

Tulip 'Flaming Parrot' noticed on this and on other picture here that the flower seems to have formed an extra bit of petal fused into the stem pulling the flower head over, and here it's created an extra long 'lip'. Anyone else had that happen?

That extra bit of petal really takes the photo to a new and different level...looks like the color is very nice...
