Are they the same as aphids? It looks like it, but have never seen them this big! Great shot!

Yes they are aphids T. They come in red, brown, black and worst of all great big ones on lupins that are really yucky to squish

Reebee, I used a Macro lens from about one inch away, lol. They were actually on my roses, so I took the pic before getting my spray out. Teehee!!!

Cool Shot ! So that's what the little devils look like up close, I'm just used to seeing their green stain on my fingers...lol
