They brighten it up nicely, tho’ the pots are a great colour also.

Looking very effective, Shirley. I’ve taken out my lavenders which were really ropey looking all year - from a trough at the front of house. I’ve done a ‘Shirley’ and planted 3 ornamental grasses in the trough. Low maintainence and attractive colour.
My lavenders struggled through the summer and in to autumn too..

That's a shame about the Lavenders, Kate. Looking at this photo I realised the colour is a bit drab compared to real life! The grass in the front is a vivid lime green and the one on the right is a blue-grey. Can you tell I can't remember the names of the grasses!!
