Lovely colour. I left my mauve one outside and am wondering if it's going to grow again or not....

Thank you Siris,. I''m happy to have been able to resize at last. This was a first effort Photo, so thought I'd post it,in case it was only a fluke ! ..Lol.

This is one of two, which were at a reduced price last summer,so I brought them both indoors for the Winter.
I also bought two pink ones at the same time, which I left outside, and they have survived.I did leave all the old foliage on,but I made them secure. I can see new growth at the base already ..I hope yours survives.Would it be possible to take some cuttings ? ...

No Bloomer the top is all dead, but I'm hoping it will grow from underneath.

........
Cheers Kate.. It's one of my favourites ,and the other one ,on my racking, has flowered all winter too..
The plant on the Window sill,is a Penstemon, from a small cutting kindly gifted by Hywel, last year, and much taller than shown on the Photo .There is also a Carnation in that pot, which was propagated from a bunch of Supermarket flowers.. It had a flower on it till last week :o) x

I am proud of you Sandra!
That 'old lady' you told me about didn't interfere with the process either, so you did well to keep her out of the way!!!

ha ha,Chris..and that 'old lady' I mentioned ,hadn't realised it was Tuesday, and not Monday ,today ! Or that it was St David's day either. looks like she has moved in permanently ! Thank you for your nice comment, and making me chuckle this morning ! Lol. x

Sandra, take a look at Hywel's blog re. alternative gardening sites. It seems GoY may take some time to get back to 'normal service'!

Hi Bloomer, I have 10 + Gazania in pots in the garden. They look very much like the one at the wall in your photo. They are my favourite flower. I do leave them out all year if it does snow I would put some fleece over them, it does not happen in the east of Ireland to often. The first plant I got was about 10 years ago was Orange colour. Since then I have got them with different colours and some with a stripe, they wont start flowing till June & keep flowering till October.

Sandra, I'm not sure I could really cope with learning a new format on a gardening site!

Hello Johnjoe, nice to see you again :o) I love this colour too,and I spotted them on the reduced rack in a Supermarket :o) I have got some cuttings from them, which I repotted on last week, and they are doing well .I also have some pink ones which I left in the garden, and were bought at the same time, and they have survived the Winter. I left the old foliage on,and I can now see new growth at the base of them :o)
They are good gap fillers ,and last so long,so I'm more than happy to have lots of them :o)

Shirley,I know just what you mean,as I feel the same. Let's wait and see ,and if the worst comes to the worst,we can give another site a try, and see what we think .:o) x

Sandra, I know GoY isn't as popular or visited as much as when I joined, way back in 2010, but I have enjoyed my time on here. Well, I still do, obviously, and am in contact via e-mail with a few selected folk . . . ha ha! You know who I mean . . . :o)

I agree,Shirley, It's still my favourite gardening site , so whatever happens, some of us will still be able to keep in touch, especially with the members we have been lucky enough to meet up with over the years. thank goodness for email, and some Friends on social Media.. :o) xx
