Frequent visitor

Barred owl, living in our old forest and are not worry to come close to check on us. Sometime will sit on our deck rail less than 10 feet away from me. And interestingly they come during the day.

I always thought they were nocturnal. Mysterious creatures of the night. Maybe not all of them.

Raccoons have startled me a couple times while taking out the trash at night. I could hear them splashing around in the bird bath and they'll see what they can scuff from my vegetable garden. Those rascals!

Lovely to be able to have a visitor like that Klahanie. I love Owls, and we sometimes hear the Tawny Owl. We get a Heron fly low over here but I think he's looking for fish ponds on his travels. I saw two Herons on the river down the road in the week.
