Hi Karen, I'm finding it a bit difficult at the moment to identify some plants, I have been told I have cataracts on both eyes, but should get new specs this week, but have a look at B serratipetala, could be that, Derek.

Thanks Derek. I will. You will get those Cararacts removed eventually and then you'll be amazed at how much better you can see! :)

Thanks Karen, my optician says they're not bad enough yet to refer me to the eye hospital, she said it could be a few years yet, the sooner the better I think, she isn't expecting my new prescription to make a lot of difference apparently, just slightly better, so why not refer me now, cost I suppose, Derek.

Waiting lists Derek. I guess thats the problem. Not enough Eye Surgeons.

Yes, you're probably right Karen, Derek.

I can sympathize with you Derrick, I have exactly the same problem, the Optician (SSs) last year, wouldn't advise new glasses, told me to save my money, as it would not make any difference whatsoever!! and to come back this year!! with a bit of luck they might refer me to the eye hospital this year!

Hi Dottydaisy, I went to SSs as well, but she didn't say not to bother getting new glasses, [just getting their ultra light ones, their most expensive of course] picked them up today, and there's a small improvement, but at least they wont make dents in the bridge of my nose, she says they aren't bad enough yet, for a referral, and again, she wants to see me every 12 months, instead of every 2 years, Derek.

Derek I wonder just how bad our eyes have to be before we get the operation!!....or how old? Perhaps they are hoping we might peg it!!! and save them some money!! Mine dent my nose......my one eye is very bad, and needs a thick lens! bottle top comes to mind!! ( ・ั﹏・ั)

Hi Dd, pretty bad I think, my father had cataracts, he had 1 done in his early 80s, and the other 1 when he was 90, so I wont hold my breath. One eye is worse than the other, so I'll probably get them done 1 at a time, but I don't want to wait until I'm in my 80s or 90s, [asuming I get that far], Derek.
