We made it! 463 steps to the very top.

Photo was taken a third of the way up. It was worth it, even though the spiral made me dizzy and breathless! The views were amazingly beautiful.

Well done to you both! Our daughter climbed all those steps in the Duomo last year ... she was thrilled to be there on a cloudless day! Looks much the same weather for you ... :o)

Well done! When I was there with a friend, she climbed to the top while I browsed in a second-hand bookshop (and found “Ruskin in Florence”) 🙂.

Thanks all. We will be flying home tomorrow. The weather has been fantastic. Hardly seen a wisp of a cloud all week long. Perhaps a little too warm for me, but it hasn't stopped us. This is a very, very beautiful place.

Yes, we’re home now. Without our luggage. :( But it is indeed raining, and also very windy! Better weather forecast for this week though. And hopefully I’ll get some of my ‘Smalls’ back eventually!

It had to happen some time Kate. We’ve never lost our luggage before. Actually, its not lost. Its still in Florence as far as we know!

It looks fabulous Karen I hope you'll soon be reunited with your luggage ,what a nuisance :o(

I hope you found your luggage Karen. When it happened to me, my luggage made it home before I did and I bypassed customs so that worked well. Beautiful photos and always nice to see your lovely face.

Aw, thanks Bathgate x

Oh Karen, still in Florence! Sounds like a good enough reason to return! I’ve had luggage misplaced over the years, usually with connecting flights. Back in 2000, one suitcase arrived a day late after our holiday to New York. Had to pop to Gap to buy some undies and essentials! :0)))
