Karen, that's a shame. I noticed some fat Clematis buds within it today. Hope these gale force winds don't damage them.

Karen look at Ceanothus thyrsiflorus var. repens. It is low growing and the RHS rate it as H4 - (Minus 5 to minus 10). I have an autumn flowering one. This one is a beautiful shade of blue Shirley tulip.
