Thanks Paul and Amy, glad you like the picture. I love drawing horses and did this from the imagination. It's a bit like a jigsaw puzzle with one shape over another. I used to ride and drive a horse and cart, and I still make a fuss of any horses that come along the road.

I do like that too, Linda, clever lady. On the way shopping this morning we saw the fire brigade rescuing a horse from a flooded area. On the way back he was on dry land and in safe hands :)

Thanks Gee. It's too dark to paint at the moment so drawing is the theme. I'm glad that the fire service helped the horse get to dry land. We are so lucky to have the brave firemen who face some pretty awful situations.

That's lovely. You've really captured the gentle nature of horses.

Thanks Waddy. Horses usually like to be fussed but sometimes they can get upperty. When the Spring grass is lush and about May time they can get very energetic. They are creatures of habit and almost have a built in time clock.

I know exactly what you mean Linda. I used to help out at a local riding stables in my youth and I loved it. It was there nearest I could get to having a horse of my own. They used to repay me by letting me have free rides. It was almost uncanny they way they always seemed to know when we were turning the out into the fields for the first time after snow.

Great drawings Linda. I can't draw for toffee. I do envy you your talent.

Thanks Hywel and HB. I just draw from the heart and hope it comes out O.K. I've always been able to draw and paint, right from a child. I just enjoy what I do and enjoy sharing it.
Waddy there's just something special between the connection of the horse and the human. Being as one when you ride on the animal is a great privilege, they are far stronger than we are and yet they allow us on to their back and most of the time like to obey the commands of the hands and legs. I hate it when the few bad humans ill treat them.

I so agree Linda. It also makes me mad when I see horses tethered on verges to fly graze with no water and no shelter.

Or left in fields when half the field is flooded.

Very talented Linda. I put this talent in the same category as those clever people who are multilingual, also those gifted to play musical instruments. None of which I can do. I'm just a beer drinking golfer, who loves gardening ... lol.

Alan, you obviously enjoy your golf and gardening, If I played golf the ball would probably end up in outer space.......or in the rough. Thanks for your comments, I've always loved to draw and paint.
