Thrupennybit, I can see how you might think that, but it's a Lavatera - the common name is Mallow.

3d, if you cut it back quite hard, it should grow sturdier.

I've had Barnsley in the past, at different homes. I like this one - Perhaps it's time to add Barnsley's Baby to my current garden! ;D

This is a big plant to be called a baby - unless of course the nursery has put the wrong label in the pot - which isn't impossible, but not all that likely as it's only a very small independent place and not a huge commercial one :))
