My neighbor, Randallsd, who's a new GoY member lives 3 doors down from me. He gave me this Deppea splendens a couple of days ago. Photo taken Dec. 10, 2010.

I may have found out why I killed my other plant. It was growing in my backyard where it's very hot. It needs to be grown in a cooler position in the northern part of the yard.

I do consider myself very lucky! I could buy one at my favorite local nursery...however, it's better to receive one for free! (just rubbing it in)

It's very different form a mullberry. :>) It has beautiful flowers. I've posted pics of this plant blooming. You can also see some beautiful photos of my neighbor and friend's large flowering plant. His GoY screen name is: Randallsd.
