..or black-stemmed dogwood! This plant arrived this morning, an Ebay purchase, just over £5 including postage. It's about 5' tall with several stems and leaves just opening. I do like brown/dark-leaved plants and, as I can't risk putting in a black bamboo, I thought this was a good compromise :)
