More of Perry!

All these photos were taken today on what I would call the first real day of Spring. It has been a glorious day and after I finished work (it was so busy!) we took Perry for a walk in Burnham Beeches along with Jim`s camera, mine doesn`t seem to be working as well as it should….sigh. While I was at work, Jim gave the lawn its first cut and what a difference it makes too. If I can tomorrow I`m going to get stuck into the weeding as I don`t think it would take more than a few afternoons to get around the garden. I`m going to widen the bed on one side of the garden and I`m not looking forward to it. It`s not a huge area but I was hoping to get Jim to do it for me, I`ve dropped enough hints but so far not one of them has got through…oh well, if you want something done…lol!!!

Perry was really good last night and arfter whimpering for just a couple of minutes he gave up and went to his bed to sleep…all night. And so did we! We had a phone call from Labrador Lifeline Trust and would you believe they`d found a dog for us! Somehow I thought perhaps something like that would happen. A bit like buses, you wait for ages then they all come at once…lol!

Me and the boy Perry at the start of our walk around the Beeches.

Jim took this in the garden this morning. I think he looks almost regal here.

Lazy bones…sleepin` in the sun…lol!

Still sleepin`….how is it possible in that position? ;o)

Beeches

Jim with Perry

One of the most ancient pollard beeches, can you see the supports?

I wonder what these trees would look like on a moonlit night, they look as though they are ready to get up and walk! I wouldn`t want to be there after dark!!!

Hi Sandra,
so glad to see Perry is settling in so well. I am sure he will be a very happy dog.
I used to play in Burnham Beeches when I was a child - we stayed with friends nearby. Nice to be reminded of them. :)

What a wonderful dog, Perry is, i am so glad for you all. Well it looks
like you have all Bonded and, are now contented. Those trees are
scary, look like they are motionless, when you walk away, they come
to life. LOL

Aren't they funny when they sleep upside down! Henry does it too - and loves lying and rolling on the grass, especially when it's just been cut.

That's a great place for a walk! Can we come too, please?

Lovely pictures Sandra, it's good to see him settling - and how couldn't he with the best dog-mother to rescue him ;-)

Perry has settled in by the sound of it. That's great :o)) You'll have many more walks now and enjoy them with your new friend.
Those trees look creepy lol. I wouldn't go there at night either :/

If you want Jim to do the weeding why don't you stop hinting and ask him outright. I never do anything if someone hints. I like to be asked properly, so maybe that would work with Jim aswell :o))

What about the other dog. Are you going to have the two ? :o)

That would be nice for them - playmates :-)
