I saw that too. In our previous home my neighbour was more than 50 yrs older than me and she was still gently gardening a month before her 111th birthday! She always maintained it kept her fit and healthy.

It certainly gives us hope! What a wonderful woman, Hywel.

That’s lovely Hywel … we always thought gardening was good for us and now we have proof!

The only problem with gardening for so many years is running out of space!!

Many of you have probably heard me say this, when I can no longer care for my garden it will be time for me to pop my clogs, lol, I get stuck if I have to kneel because my knees have gone so I try not to, otherwise I manage, its so good for my wellbeing, I like to think that like this lady I will have many years left to enjoy myself doing my favourite pastime....

A lovely story to inspire us all.

Today I knew I was getting tired outside but I just wanted to carry on with what I was doing! It is when I come back indoors I just don't want to do another thing!!!

I think there is a lot of truth in that Hywel! Gardening is good for you and takes away any stress a person may have!
My Aunty used to garden every day until eventually had to move to sheltered housing and missed her garden so much! Sadly she went down hill after that!
