These are two I painted after our trip to Whitby earlier this year. It was the first clear day after the weeks of thick sea mist … I hope you like them.

Like them? They are absolutely lovely.... The simplicity just makes them. Particularly like your figures, something I find difficult. Thank you for showing them HB.

Thank you Sheila. They’re extraordinary, really brilliant. I love them! Perhaps you could show some more when you have time?

Thankyou so much for your lovely comments. We are always so critical of our own work aren't we. I went out for a meal tonight with a close group of friends and two of them are sending me some photos they have taken recently on holiday in Ireland and Scotland. I'm planing to try them in watercolour.

Well done you, my favourite is the first one, an unusual composition..

Can only echo the above sentiments. I hope you do post more images.

Very impressed ,will you frame them ?

Thankyou all. The chimney one was from a photo I took of the one on the sea men's home on the far side of the estuary. The other is the Captain Cook monument. If I can find a frame to suit at a reasonable price I sometimes frame a painting. Mostly they are in a box under the spare bed. ;o)
Yours are far superior Brian. I really liked your country scene.

Love them, especially the top one, so original with the chimney pot & gull seen through the mist. Agree with all the comments, very talented & much too nice to be hidden under the bed!

I do frame the ones I like best, and we currently have six hanging in the hall . . . looking quite smart (though I say so myself)! The frames are all in a simple, plain dark wood which help to make the pics look good :)

delightful you are very talented.

Very beautifully done. i wish I could be a bit neater. But one gets so absorbed in the painting. It is hard to do. But think that is why we like looking at other works and getting new ideas.

Thankyou Drc and Wells. We are the worst critics of our own work aren't we Wells?
Sheila, I used to buy frames from Wilkos with nice mounts but our local shop has reduced the selection lately. Someone told me that The Range have a good selection at reasonable prices. I must go and look after Christmas.

Good luck Sheila . . . frames really do help to bring pictures to life :)
