2nd of April and what a day weatherwise.

I didn’t want to believe my eyes when I opened the curtains on the second of April. If it had been the 1st I would have thought it was an April fool prank. It turned to drizzly rain after lunch but took until this morning to clear completely. The Spirea ‘Bridal Wreath’ looked beautiful though in its veil of snow and the Ribes stood out really well in the white stuff….

I am glad its gone now and hopefully there won’t be any more..

yes, it did look very beautiful. It didn't really settle here. It started to, but melted overnight. Rain again tomorrow.....there will be a bit of flooding I think....and so it goes on. Thanks for sharing your lovely photos though.

Although we’ve all had enough of it, thick snow does add a certain something to the garden!

Wow Homebird, lots of it too, your spirea and Ribes do look good though clothed in snow.
Surely the weather will change soon - we better get a good summer after all this or there will be trouble lol

It was like that here,Sheila..unbelievable when I drew back the curtains that morning ! Almost all gone by teatime, which was amazing..I'm keeping my fingers crossed,as it has mentioned more in parts of our area over the next couple of days..don't think it will be as heavy though..that's me being the eternal optimist ! :o)

We shared the same scenario here and then yesterday we had a heavy hail storm, getting very irritated now as we are trying to make repairs to our old greenhouse.

we just had torrential rain which was better than snow but I am getting feed up of the waterlogged, soggy garden.
Sunny today and it would be ideal to garden but so so wet.

You must have had a shock ! but I remember heavy snow in April in past years.
I hope that's the last of it now.

Well captured, HomeBird., the sort of images one likes to admire in front of a roaring fire.

Quite a lot of rain here with sunny intervals this afternoon. Our Spring garden is slow to wake up this year nut there are hints of colour appearing.

Its horrid when you hink it has gone tgen returns at least its gone now thank goodness but I think I would rather have snow than drought like they have had for 6 years in San Diego . Now we ve got April showers lol as if e have had enough watery stuff. Lovely photos Homebird.

I know how you're feeling HB. I wondered if mother nature was having a late April Fool on us. Please let's hope that's it now.
