Pleasure indoors....

My Phalenopsis and schlumbergera give me so much once the winter arrives and there is little to do outside without feeling too cold after a short while. The Phals have been in flower for months but the cacti started opening a couple of weeks ago and will (fingers crossed ) keep going for a few more weeks yet. I took these photos today, really as a record of how well they are flowering now. I thought you might like to see them…

I sowed a few bell pepper seeds with the children really late in the season and to my surprise they grew well and are producing small peppers. There will only be a tiny slither for each of the four grandchildren but they are looking forward to harvesting them…..??‍?‍?‍?

Your conservatory is like an oasis. Congratulations on your pepper plants. Mine have been feeding me well, but will soon be overtaken by winter.

Your plants would cheer me up too on dark winter days.......makes me think an orchid from the garden centre tomorrow might just go on my shopping list!

My goodness, these are beautiful and healthy looking orchids Homebird. Really cheerful sight. I have few of them but they do not bloom, unfortunately.

I'm envious of your Orchids Hb I'm waiting to see if any of mine bloom there's nothing showing at the moment ...

Just to let you know that I did buy one yesterday! It has very tiny white flowers tinged with pale pink. I had a 'good customer' voucher for the garden centre so it didn't cost me very much at all!

Thanks, they are a real pleasure in flower. All so easy to care for. Water only when the compost/medium looking dry. A drop of orchid food about once a month and Bobs your uncle.
I'm glad you decided to splash out on one Wildrose. I'm off to see if you've put up a photo...

They all look so welcoming I do like the white schlumberger. Bet the grandchildren are thrilled to bits growing their own produce, however small.
