Red Spider Lily

Red Spider Lily (Lycoris radiata (Higan Bana))

For me, more attractive than its solid cousins.

That's lovely - be nice to be in a position to make a choice!

It's part of the group that will start flowering now, before the leaves appear. Then there will be foliage all winter long before resting. The solid Lycris look a lot like the belladonnas (which are called Boys-to-School in Portugal because they bloom when it's time to go back to school).
