Snow again...

After that lovely red sunrise, I knew we were in for some bad weather. Rain was forecast, but we weren't so lucky.

Will spring never come for you? I do hope it won't be long now.

By mid-April we start to see the first shoots and by mid-May we can start gardening in earnest. this is nothing - it was minus 43 C in Edmonton today, with a wind chill of -55 C!! Our son works as a bike messenger in Calgary, and it was -24 C there yesterday and even colder on Monday. We're balmy by comparison.

Hi Elke,
I moved to Toronto from England in the early 1960's and had never seen so much snow.It snowed from my getting off the plane on 2nd January until Easter Sunday - then suddenly it was Spring.
I will never forget the very cheery radio weatherman saying, at 7.00am, 'Hi there everyone, the temperature downtown Toronto is 30 below, enjoy your day'! I didn't have a garden then, just a balcony covered in snow.
Hope the warmer weather is early for you this year.
