Camellia rosthorniana ‘Cupido/Elina’)

Camellia 'Cupido' is a fantastic, highly ornamental recently introduced Camellia variety. Cupido forms pink buds along slender upright stems that open in spring to small white flowers, which have a pinkish-red flush on the edges of the petals. The new shoots are wine-red when they first emerge, so these too create another burst of colour as they appear, giving a further dimension to the attractiveness to this lovely evergreen. With a compact upright pyramidal growth habit Camellia Cupido makes an excellent specimen for a planter or try for structure and colour throughout the year in a mixed shrub border.
