Plant details

This choice spring-flowering iris produces white flowers with yellow falls at the top of leafy stems. It's a vigorous plant that grows wild in North-East Afghanistan and Central Asia. The Royal Horticultural Society has given it their prestigious Award of Garden Merit (AGM) in recognition of its outstanding excellence. Plant bulbs 10-15cm (4-6in) apart and twice their height deep. After flowering, feed with a high potash fertiliser, such as tomato feed, to encourage large bulbs to form. Lift and separate bulbs in autumn.
