Alchemilla Mollis - Lady's Mantle

This is growing in the shade garden in front of the shed. It's herbaceous..it dies down in winter. It has frothy lime green flowers in spring. Cut them all off before they go to seed, or you'll have it growing all over the garden. It is very pretty, but it seeds itself like mad. The seedlings are easy to weed out, but better to prevent them forming. As soon as the flowers begin to fade, chop them off. That way the plant also looks better for longer. Just grab a handful at a time and cut them with scissors. It won't matter if you get a few leaves. It's a very strong growing plant.

When the clumps get too big, just dig them out and green bin them, or save a small piece and replant if you like it!
