Hamamelis 'Rochester'
Genus: Hamamelis.
Species: Hamamelis mollis.
Actually considered a hybrid between Hamamelis mollis and Hamamelis vernalis. Orange flowers, considered possibly the most fragrant witch hazel. Big downside is that leaves do not drop in fall and hang on the shrub all winter. Foliage is not as nice as Hamamelis x intermedia but I am hoping it will flower better than Hamamelis vernalis did. Also known as 'Superba'
