Aquilegia Black Barlow - Granny's Bonnet, Columbine
A real head-turner, with fully double spurless near-black flowers that resemble Dahlias. The unusual flowers look fabulous in the middle of a sunny border alongside plants with deep red or blue flowers for maximum impact. A popular and easy-to-grow cottage garden plant, it prefers a soil that retains moisture over the summer. Supplied in 2-3 litre containers. This compact form retains the columbine's endearing charm, but being dwarf, it is more resistant to wind.It is very hardy and colourful and will thrive in poor soils. Flowers, which appear in spring / summer are excellent for bedding or cutting.
